Fortune cookie...

We had Chinese last night. Samantha is crazy about General Tso's chicken. At the end of the meal, the waitress brought out our fortune cookies. Their's were the usual you will find good fortune, etc. Mine however, basically said you need to exercise & go on a diet. Seriously people?!?! I know that, but I don't want to see it on my fortune cookie. Who else does this stuff happen to???

This is a picture Cameron & his cousin Ian taken in February 2005. Cameron adored Ian and in turn Ian was always great with him & Samantha. They were more like brothers than cousins except they never fought. Ian was always patient & willing to teach Cameron how to do things. He spent many nights with us in Columbus at the Ronald McDonald House. I worry about Ian. This has been very hard on him too.

  1. Lori, I just read your carringbridge entry and am praying for you. You are right, who says it has to be 3-6 mos before you 'get help'...and who know how long it takes to allow that greiving process to finish. I still grieve for our daughter who would of been 31 this past yr. Now I don't tear up all the time but I always think about her 2 times a yr. My one and only solace is that one day I will see her again!
Stephanie is still grieving over her sweet husband and it's been since June.
You just take it one day at a time w/God by your continual side...and know we are praying for you. You are not alone in support near and far!A blogger friend of mine who now resides in Japan..so see you are being lifted up all the way around the world.
I also agree w/you on a group thing...I would also take on their pain while trying to disolve mine. SO YOU GO GIRL! I wanna hear how you are doing in 2 yrs...THIS first year is so hard to go through. (and I only did that w/my dads death)

    Joy for your Sunday! DeeDee
