I'm still here.....

It has been forever. It's not that I have been particularly busy. Just disorganized and unfocused. I'd have intentions on writing something, but never really get around to it. I'm not going to recap the last 6 months. Just start writing anew.

I had a birthday last month. I convinced some friends that it would be a good idea to set goals for ourselves to accomplish before our next birthdays. Many, Many goals. One for each year that we are about to turn. Not going to write the exact number here. Many of you already know..... The social worker in me wanted to make sure that my goals are clearly defined and easily measurable (like a treatment plan!). A few of mine include:

1) Blog at least once per month.
2) Drink a beer - something I have never done! Hard to believe I went to OU.....
3) Organize photos.
4) Read a classic novel.
5) Log 600 miles on either bikepath or treadmill (got to get moving on this - literally! I am only at 38.2/600).
6) Complete a half marathon.
7) Bake a pie.
and on & on & on & includes things like cleaning, painting, volunteering, donating.....

This is not a bucket list. Nothing spectatular on here. Nothing that cannot be eaily accomplished if I stay on track.

A few photos from the past months....

Samantha & me on Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for and she is #1 on my list.

Me & my friend at 3 of our runs this fall. Runs. HAHAHAHA. We finished all of them! There are lots of races on my list for next year....

Today's thought: You can't do anything about the length of your life but you can do something about its width and depth.

  1. Great to see a post from you. Glad to hear you are doing well and have listed goals for this year. You are an inspiration. I like the idea of making the goals defined, I think I will do that to. That will make it motivating for me. Happy New Year, think of you often. Love your picture of you and your daughter, she has grown and looks a lot like you.
