Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy & Ice Show! OH MY!

First I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported Samantha's St. Jude's Mathathon. I wrote a few weeks ago about my conflicting feelings regarding St. Jude's (scroll back a few if you missed that one). Sami is very pleased that her class was the biggest money raiser & for their efforts they are getting a pizza party in their classroom this Friday.

We had a fun & busy Easter. It started very early with Sami searching for her Easter basket (the bunny always hides it at our house!). She found it in the corner behind an end table.

Cameron's last Easter (2008) was celebrated at Children's Hospital. Nothing was allowed to touch the floor so I had to be very creative in hiding his basket & eggs. His favorite Easter candy was always Reese Eggs. It is mine too.....

Next, we were off to church. Sami picked out her zebra print dress. She has always been a wee bit flashy!

After church & lunch, we were off to an egg hunt. Sami is not the best egg finder - she ran by a whole lot more eggs than she picked up!

This picture was taken Easter 2006 - Cameron loved hunting eggs too. This was the year that he found the golden egg with $20 in it!

Sami had been wiggling a tooth for over a week. She got to the point where she didn't want to chew on that side. She thought she could get it so the Easter Bunny & Tooth Fairy could come on the same night (just like Santa & the Tooth Fairy) but it didn't happen for her. The tooth finally came out on Monday evening. So, the Tooth Fairy got to come Monday night. Very exciting in the life of an 8 year old girl.

Ice skating lessons are winding down for the season. We have 3 nights in a row coming up & then we are done. She has regular practice tomorrow, dress rehearsal on Friday & the show on Saturday. This year's theme is "Around the World." Her song is "Waka Waka (this is Africa)" by Shakira. We will have a few weeks off until baseball starts up again. There is always something going on! I love it & hope I am not too sad when it is over.

Until next time,
Lori
